This is what adulthood looks like on the weekends:
- Paid off about $100 of credit card debt. Only $1200 more to go!
- Did two loads of laundry.
- Ran over the neighbor boy
He bolted right out in front of me. In the parking lot! - Cleaned the bathroom.
- Made cinnamon streusel bread.
- Complained about the neighbors throwing a party.
Their kids were running up and down the stairs. Sheesh. - Shoe shopping.
But not buying anything because there’s the credit card debt to take care of. That $25 you spend on the shoes should go toward the card!
it all sounds like normal events. Some i admit are random and unexpected, like running over the neighbor boy, but life is wonderful regardless. maybe im wrong but it sounds like you’re looking for life to be greater? then the only way for that to happen would be to live different. how? that would be for you to decide. hope the best for you
I miss childhood weekends of sleeping in and cartoons and running around the neighborhood.
Good job on the credit card! I’m slowly chipping away at mine, too. I think I might have a party when my cards [yes, sadly, plural] are paid off.
Ah, Credit cards. They are the true weight of adulthood. I have one, and I was shocked at how fast I spent money on it. And how small stuff adds up! My summer job goes towards paying it off.
Your neighbors sound like regular Disturbers of the Peace.
Wihooo! Paying off the credit card! You are wild.
That’s adulthood, and middleage is doing all that on a weekend, except it’s your birthday too.
So, is the neighbor’s kid at least okay??
And yeah, adulthood sucks!
